Why Big White?

It's The Snow!
You will instantly feel the difference that natural snow makes as you cruise the long, immaculately-buffed trails, float through the powder bowls, and slalom through the "snow ghosts" – our signature snow-clad glades!

A Mountain of Fun
With over 118 runs, five powder bowls, and plenty of sunshine, you’ll soon realize why Big White is the winter hangout of skiers and riders from all over the world. Runs range from beginner-friendly slopes like Sun Run and Highway 33, to the double-black diamond challenge of The Cliff!

Family-Friendly Snowsports School Programs for All Ages & Abilities
As a family-first resort, Big White recognizes that it's the parent's vacation, too. That's why we have plenty of kids' lessons programs for all ages and abilities. Daycare is available for tots, teen freeriding programs are ongoing at TELUS Park, and there's a wide range of lesson programs for adults as well.

Great daycare for children
Voted “Best Place to be Abandoned by Your Parents” by Ski Canada Magazine, the Tot Town Daycare is ideal for the pre-ski child, or for the child who does not wish to ski the whole day. Each day at Tot Town Daycare Centre is unique, exciting and filled with activities and adventures. Children are kept busy with a mixture of indoor play and (weather permitting) outdoor activities. A maximum of 24 spaces requires parents to reserve and purchase a spot in advance to ensure availability. The Tot Town Daycare is for children aged 18 months to 5 years.

Please be aware that to meet our licensing requirements in the Tot Town Daycare, parents/guardians MUST provide the following information:
1. Proof of Birth Date (either birth certificate or passport)
2. Immunization History
3. Health Insurance Number

Photocopies of the above are acceptable at the time of initial check-in.
Rates: Hourly: $16.00, Half Day (3 hours): $39.00, Full Day: $69.00, Five Half Days: $160.00, Five Full Days: $276.00
Includes: Supervised daycare, lunch (full day only), indoor play and outdoor activities.

Fast, Efficient Lifts
Last year, we've added the Snow Ghost Express, Canada's longest six-person chairlift, to augment four express chairs, gondola, four fixed-grip chairs, and numerous surface lifts. It's one of the most efficient and comfortable lift systems in North America and minimizes lift lines, even during peak periods. Big White is the second most popular resort in super natural British Columbia, with over 600,000 skier-visits annually

Canada's Largest Ski-In/Out Accommodation
Big White's romantic village boasts Canada’s most modern ski-in/ski-out resort properties. Big White has everything for your family, and we can host over17,000 guests in rooms for every taste and budget. Hotels, luxury apartments, vacation homes and even themed log cabins, (most with private outdoor hot tubs) dot the snowy slopes.

Our Guest Services Staff Go the Extra Mile!
The Village Centre Mall is the hub for all Big White activity and fun. During the day, it houses the ski school, rental shop, main ticket office, Ski Dazzle and Board Rider retail shops, and Beano's café. Twice-weekly, it's Carnival night, with family-friendly games, a Jumping Castle, free popcorn and candy floss – great fun for kids of all ages.

Happy Valley – a short gondola ride from the Village Centre – is a hub of activity all day (and night) long. Here, you'll find many of Big White's apres-ski programs – some that are free or available at nominal charge. Don't miss the Blockbuster Video Nights, Bingo Night, Big White Idol karaoke, ice skating and hockey on Canada's largest high-altitude skating rink, the Mega-Snow Coaster tubing park, and guided snowmobile tours – we even have 'Mini-Z's' for younger riders.
