Nature of a resale property
Purchasing
a resale property is a bit different from a new build. The main
difference is that a developer will use the same contract with all
purchasers, but in a resale, the contract is between two individuals.
In this way, it is not much different than in the UK. Also, there is
room for negotiation in price with a resale, whereas with a new build,
one can generally not negotiate price with the developer.
Because
this is not an old property, the purchase process will be quite quick.
This is because the title search is only covering a short period of
time and should not take more than an hour - in old properties the
search can take up to a week!
