Whistler in the Spotlight

This winter sees Whistler host the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

Whistler will host the alpine skiing, biathlon, cross country skiing, ski jumping, bobsleigh, luge and skeleton events, which will all take place over the course of two weeks between February 12-28 2010. The rest of the events will take place in Vancouver.

The event will draw thousands of spectators and potentially billions of television viewers. With the eyes of the world on the region at this time, it will be interesting to see what effect this has on property prices, following a fairly stagnant period for the last few years.
