The legendary terrain of Snowbird and Alta has a pure, natural quality. Receiving over 40 feet of virgin powder every year, skiing here is unadulterated pleasure. Snowbird has recently opened a link to neighbouring Alta (only for skiers - boarders are not allowed at Alta) making the ski area one of the largest in the USA.

Snowbird and Alta don't offer much for beginners but are ideal for those at the upper end of intermediate wanting to tackle off-piste and powder skiing. The confirmed expert will lap up the double-blacks, moguls and tree skiing.

We recommend staying in Snowbird where several ski-in ski-out hotel and condo properties, including the excellent Cliff Lodge, sit end to end down the middle of the valley (to avoid damage by avalanches!). All resort facilities are within walking distance.
