The brand new accommodation and modern lifts of this relatively new ski area (born 1997) are already competing well with the other Utah resorts.

As the name suggests, the resort extends across tree-clad canyons, gondolas and high-speed quads, spanning the gaps between them. The Canyons is particularly good for snowboarding with natural half-pipes, gulleys and a superb terrain park.

There is a small pedestrianised village dominated by the Grand Summit Resort Hotel which offers extremely comfortable rooms and many amenities. As the resort has not yet reached build-out, The Canyons doesn't have much in the way of nightlife - you will need to go into Park City for this - but there are a handful of places to eat.

SPECIAL OFFER LIFT PASSES:

If pre-booking in the UK there is an opportunity to purchase a 'Three Resort International Pass' allowing you the flexibility to experience the three world-class ski areas of The Canyons, Deer Valley and Park City on one ticket. All three areas are located within a few minutes of each other and are linked by a free public transit system. For more details of this pass and all other ski extras, please click on the Ski Extras link above.
